My name is Debbie Mest and I am an Independent Web Consultant living in San Diego, CA. I have over ten years of experience as a Web Designer and currently specialize in working with entrepreneurs, independent consultants and micro-businesses. I provide a variety of services including web design, web site maintenance, email newsletter design and blog & social media customization.

Because my business is a sole proprietorship, I know what it's like to be an entrepreneur and have a good understanding of the goals a small business owner will have. I work closely with my clients offering tips and suggestions for marketing yourself. I am not just another vendor you'll pay for a service, rather I am a consultant who wants to work with you to help your business to succeed.

Shortly after relocating to San Diego in 2001, I started a business called GWT (Graphics, Web & Technology) Solutions, offering small business web site solutions to clients not only in San Diego but in many states on the east coast as well as multiple clients in Europe. Over the years I have tweaked the service offerings and types of businesses I typically work with but my number one priority has always been to provide my clients with superior service. I not only strive to provide my clients with great web solutions but to develop long-term relationships with my clients and to work closely with them to help them succeed.

Prior to starting GWT Solutions I held roles as a Marketing Coordinator for a small educational foundation in Florida and as a Webmaster for a small software firm in San Diego. Additionally, I spent some time as an Information Technology Recruiter and specialized in placing Web Designers, Web Developers and Technical Writers. I received a Bachelor's Degree from Florida State University and later went on to receive a certification in Web Design for Business from the University of South Florida.

In an effort to better serve my San Diego based clients and to expand the web services available to them, in 2009 I launched SanDiegoWebSolutions.com, a web site and blog with a more personal feel and a stronger focus on social media, relationship building, and a wider variety of web services in addition to web design. While I continue to do business under the name GWT Solutions, having a web site named San Diego Web Solutions helps potential clients better identify me as a local resource. Because Social Media has become such an important part of doing business, this site has a stronger emphasis on web solutions related to social media such as Twitter, Facebook, community site customization and web profile customization. Social media is a great way for small business owners to promote themselves and I provide web solutions to better integrate these tools to coexist with my clients' web site or blog.

I am also the founder of LivingAGreenerLife.com, a site I launched in 2009 which provides eco-friendly tips and resources to help users start living a greener life. The site features regular blog posts, a weekly profile of a featured green web site, green headlines and a green business directory. I launched the site to educate myself on small changes I could make to live greener and to provide an informative and helpful resource for others looking to live greener and to become more informed about how the choices we make each day might affect the environment.
